Livingston UNICO members have been working to plan the organization's annual Citizen of the Year brunch. The event will be held on Sunday, April 17, at 10 a.m. at the Hanover Manor in East Hanover. This year, UNICO will honor former West Essex Tribune editor Nancy Dinar. UNICO is America's largest Italian-American service organization, and for the past 61 years has annually recognized local residents who have contributed to the well-being of Livingston and its citizens. UNICO officials chose Dinar as this year's Citizen of the Year because of her "long-term commitment to community service, which exemplifies the organization's core value of "Service Above Self."
