George J. LeGrand, 89, of Plant City, Florida, formerly of Livingston and New York City, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at noon. George is survived by three children: George K. LeGrand of Hudson, Florida, Francesca M. LeGrand of Plant City, and David T. LeGrand of Auburndale, Florida; and one grandchild, Logan T. LeGrand of West Palm Beach, Florida. George was pre-deceased by his lovely wife of 68 years, Lorraine E. LeGrand, and his son Richard L. LeGrand, who passed away in 2015. George was a devout Catholic his entire life, giving to the church and dozens of charities. George was very involved with St. Philomena Catholic Church, the Livingston Elks, the local AARP, and giving many volunteer hours at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston. He was a LEAD singer in barbershop choruses for 30 years: the Dapper Dans of Harmony and the Big Apple Chorus. He performed twice at Carnegie Hall and once at Radio City Music Hall. George, along with Lorraine, was an active and talented ballroom dancer and even gave dance lessons at his place of business. He was a computer programmer/systems analyst at Sandoz Pharmaceuticals. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 14 at 11 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Plant City. George J. LeGrand, our Dad, will be missed by many. ...
