At the Monday, August 5 Township Council conference meeting, former mayor Eleonore Cohen of the LivingstonArts Council discussed bringing a performing arts center to town.
“We are a community of many things,” Cohen said. “Part of being a great town is offering everything to everybody.”
The “odyssey” of opening a performing arts center began in the ’90s, according to Cohen, and has continued through the years, with road blocks including funding and space continually stalling the project.
