Services Were Held For Ada Parness

Ada Parness of Livingston and Boynton Beach, Florida, died on October 27. Born in Albany, New York, she lived in Bridgewater for 48 years before moving to Livingston. After working as a secretary, Mrs. Parness graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in English and from Seton Hall University with a master’s degree in special education. She was employed by theWoodbridge school system as a learning disabilities teacher consultant. She was active with Deborah Hospital and Temple Shalom, where she was chairman of the board. Mrs. Parness was predeceased by her husband, Leonard; a daughterin-law, Marleen; and a grandson, Matthew. She is survived by two daughters, Elayne (Alan) Pollet of East Hanover and Debra Goldstein of Livingston; two sons, Richard of Springfield and Michael (Diana) of Wayne; a sister, Lois Apfelbaum of New York City; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were held October 28 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Macular Degeneration Association. ...
