Frederick Rall, 91, Dies in Pennsylvania

Frederick R. Rall, 91, died July 25 at Ann's Choice Retirement Community, Warminster, Pennsylvania. A memorial service was held on July 30 at the Presbyterian Church of Livingston. Born and raised in Newark, Mr. Rall lived in Livingston for 43 years before moving to Pennsylvania in 2012. He attended Boston University and served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 3½ years during World War II. Prior to his retirement in 1985, Mr. Rall was employed by Western Electric Co. in Kearny for more than 44 years as a cost accountant and benefit service representative. He was a Master Mason and was actively involved in church work. As a member of Kilburn Memorial Presbyterian Church in Newark, Mr. Rall had served as a trustee and an elder as well as the baritone soloist in the choir. It was there that he and his wife of 59 years met. Mr. Rall was also an elder at the Presbyterian Church in Livingston where, in addition, he served as worship assistant, usher, and choir member. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his son, Glenn and daughter-in-law, Eileen, and two granddaughters.
