Herbert Weber

Former Livingston resident Herbert Weber died on Wednesday, August 20, in Saint Barnabas Medical Center. He was 94 years old. Born in Newark, he lived in Livingston and then in Roseland before moving to Union. Mr. Weber, a certifi ed public accountant, was founding partner of the fi rm of Kurtz, Coleman & Weber. He played basketball while he was a student at the University of North Carolina. He was also a member of the AEPi fraternity and actively supported many of the university's activities. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Weber was instrumental in breaking the "Enigma" (Nazi Code) while stationed in London, England. Mr. Weber was predeceased by his wife, Leslie; his brother, Martin; and his sister, Helen. He is survived by his second wife, Irene; two daughters, including Dale and her husband, Frank, and Marsha; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
