Bette Blum Dies In Boynton Beach

Bette Blum of Boynton Beach, Florida, formerly of Livingston, died on Thursday, October 23. Funeral services were held Monday, October 27, in the Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel of Livingston. Mrs. Blum was born in Newark in 1937, and grew up in Irvington. She was a graduate of Irvington schools, and received her teaching degree from Newark State College. After completing her teaching career, she moved to Livingston to raise her family. Mrs. Blum owned a lingerie store, Gowntown, in Livingston and later sold real estate as well as working in retail sales. In Florida, she focused her energy on raising money for cancer research through the PAP Corps, for which she served as vice-president of fund raising. Predeceased by her husband, Jerry Blum and her daughter, Debbie Blum, she is survived by two daughters, Amy and Heidi Blum; sons-in-law, Robert Rubin and David Zubkoff and a daughter-in-law, Michele Donato; a sister, Dorothy Kleinert; and eight grandchildren. The family has suggested that memorial donations be made to the PAP Corps for further cancer research in memory of Bette Blum, 1166 West Newport Center Drive, Suite 114, Deerfield Beach, Florida 33442. ...
