Marit Elizabeth Frasca (nee Svaan) of Wayne, formerly of Livingston, died Friday, December 26, at her home. She was 80 years old. Services were conducted Tuesday, December 30, from the LaMonica Funeral Home of Livingston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Philomena's Church in Livingston. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Mrs. Frasca was born in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Marit and Jarles Svaan. She was a resident of Livingston for 33 years and of Budd Lake for 1½ years before moving to Wayne. She was a member of St. Philomena's Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister and sang in the church choir. She was the wife of the late Harry J. Frasca, Jr.; the mother of Harry R. Frasca III; Barbara M. Lamanna and her husband, Emilio; Elizabeth C. Drozd and her husband, Thomas; David Frasca and his wife, Dana Maria; and the late Cynthia Frasca. Mrs. Frasca is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Eleanor Svann; her sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Roy Berg; and six grandchildren.
