Adopt-a-Hydrant Aids Town Safety

The Livingston Fire Department and Department of Public Works together with the Townwide Safety Committee and HCHY (Healthy Community, Healthy Youth) are encouraging residents to adopt the fi re hydrants closest to their homes and keep them clear during snow storms. Livingston has more than 1,500 hydrants and it is virtually impossible for the Department of Public Works to clear them all.
