Little Group, Big Impact

Led by longtime Livingston resident Jeff Friedman, fondly known as "The Coat Guy," a small group of people, appropriately named "The Dream Team," have delivered nearly 2,000 coats to those in need this winter. Updates on the coat drive have been featured in nearly every issue of the West Essex Tribune over the last couple of months. Each time the Coat Guy and the Dream Team get closer to their goal, it is definitely worthy of a "good news" article. This little group has made a big impact in the community. The extremely frigid weather seems to be the topic of every conversation lately. "Can it get any colder?!"; "How long until spring?"; "Was that groundhog really serious?" With wind chills taking the temperature down to negative numbers at times during the last few weeks, staying warm has proven to be a challenge, even for those of us with a closet full of coats, and hats, and gloves, and scarves.
