Private Service for Mary Evans Sigler

Mary G. Evans Sigler, 92, died on Tuesday, February 17, at the Cliffs at Eagle Rock in West Orange. A resident of Livingston for 50 years, beginning in 1961, she was a congregant at St. Philomena Church and a member of its Rosary Society. Born in 1923, Mrs. Sigler graduated from Orange High School in 1941 and was employed at Monroe Calculating Machines before working in bookkeeping at Rod's 1920s Roadhouse (The Essex House) of West Orange for 45 years. She retired in 2003. Mrs. Sigler is survived by two daughters, Cheryl M. Sigler Collins and her husband, Philip W. Sr. of Livingston, and Diane P. Sigler Critchett and her husband Walter "Bob" of Roseland; four grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by her former husband, George A. Sigler, who she married in 1946; a brother, Edwin Evans; and a sister, Catherine. A private memorial service will be held at a time to be announced.
