While academic performance is the number one priority when it comes to a child's school education, it should not be the only goal. School should also be a place where students learn how to share, communicate, advocate and problem-solve so they can make positive, healthy choices in their lives. This is an important part of the educational process at the Livingston public schools. The district's commitment to character education is evident by the programs administrators, guidance counselors and teachers have implemented and the recognition the schools have received this year.
