Doris Crumlish Barrett, best known as "Nana," died on April 10, after a short illness. A Mass was offered on Tuesday, April 14, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Born in Newark, Mrs. Barrett grew up and raised her family in Livingston,before moving to Millington, and then to "Beau Cheval Farm" in Bedminster. A winter resident of the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida, Mrs. Barrett remained a member of Roxiticus and Card Sound Golf clubs for many years, accumulating a number of trophies. Preceded in death in 2002 by her husband of 57 years, Emmett Ray Barrett, she was the mother of Timothy and Randy Barrett and Robin Forish; grandmother of seven and greatgrandmother of nine. Memorial donations can be made to an Alzheimer's, Cancer, or Catholic Charities of one's choice, paying it forward.
