Dorothy McKenna Succumbs at Home

Dorothy McKenna, 92, died in her home on April 27. Mrs. McKenna grew up in Irvington, but lived most of her life and raised her family in Livingston. Prior to her marriage, she was employed by Prudential Life Insurance. A volunteer at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Mrs. McKenna was a member of St. Philomena's church choir and the Livingston Historical Society. She won awards for her poetry from the NJ Poetry Association. Mrs. McKenna was predeceased by her husband, Edward; her daughter, Arlene and son, Michael. She is survived by her children, Marilyn DiTringo and her husband, Anthony; Patrick McKenna and his wife, Karen; Daniel McKenna and his fi ancee, Megan Young; Joni McKenna; and Colin McKenna; and fi ve grandchildren. In lieu of fl owers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Barnabas Hospice, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, NJ 07052. ...
