“For Pride, Not Pay.”

We have said it many times, but we will say it again. Livingston’s firefighters are volunteers. They are not compensated to train or to respond to calls at all times of the day and night. Aside from five paid employees, including the Chief, the Assistant Chief, two inspectors and a mechanic, the entire roster is composed of those who donate their time to the position.
