Long-time Livingston resident Emil G. Schiafo died on Sunday, June 28, at the age of 83. Funeral services were held yesterday, Wednesday, July 1, at the Leonardis Memorial Home in Florham Park, followed by a Mass at St. Philomena's Church in Livingston. Mr. Schiafo was born and raised in Newark. He had worked in the men's clothing industry for more than 60 years. He is survived by his children, Karen O'Neill and her husband, Kevin; Russell Schiafo and his wife, Lindsay; Richard Schiafo; and Cynthia Heinz and her husband, Eric. Also surviving are the mother of his children, Margaret Schiafo, and 15 grandchildren. The family has noted that donations may be made in Mr. Schiafo's memory to a charity of one's choice.
