Livingston has grown from a sleepy farming town, known for its leather and logging and later for its dairy farms, to a bustling suburban community. There have, of course, been growing pains along the way. We have seen the farms broken up, sold off, and become housing developments, allowing the population to burgeon. Little by little – and in some cases not so little – our open space was chipped away until there was precious little left of it.
