Local Service Sept. 5 For Richard Blake, 84

Former Livingston resident Richard W. Blake died July 17 at Roberts Health Centre in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. He was 84 years old. Mr. Blake grew up in Cranston and Warwick, Rhode Island, and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He had a 40 year insurance career working for the Providence Washington Insurance Company, and retired from the Allendale Insurance Company in 1993. Mr. Blake lived in Livingston for 47 years and was a member of Trinity Covenant Church. He was also active with his sons in Boy Scout Troops 12 and 30. Pre-deceased by his wife of 52 years, Florence A. Blake, Mr. Blake is survived by his children, Steven R. Blake and his wife, June; Sharon L. Pannucci and her husband, Steven; and Ronald A. Blake and his wife, Lauren; and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his wife, Doris M. Blake of Wakefield, Rhode Island. Funeral arrangements and military honors were conducted by the Nardolillo Funeral Home of Narragansett, Rhode Island. A memorial gathering celebrating his life will be held Saturday, September 5, at Trinity Covenant Church in Livingston. Friends and family may visit at 12:30 p.m., with the service following at 1:30 p.m. The family has suggested that contributions be made to Trinity Covenant Church in Mr. Blake's memory. ...
