Russel W. Curry Dies At Maine Summer Home

Russel W. Curry, 78, of Livingston, died Wednesday morning, August 12, at his summer residence on Damariscotta Lake, Maine surrounded by his family. He was born July 5, 1937 in Orange, a son of the late Thomas and Miriam (McCarthy) Curry. On March 22, 1957, he married Virginia Mcauley in West Orange. For more than 40 years, Mr. Curry worked in plumbing and heating. He was a former member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge 1855 in Livingston. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Curry and William “Billy” Curry; a sister, Bette Ann Meyer; and a son-in-law, Greg Maute. Along with his wife of more than 58 years, Virginia “Ginger” Curry, of Jefferson, Maine and Livingston, Mr. Curry is survived by their four children, Marilyn Maute; Mark Curry; Paul Curry and his wife, Gina; and JoAnne O’Donnell and her husband, Ed; and 11 grandchildren. Services to celebrate Mr. Curry’s life will be held at the convenience of his family and announced at a later date.
