Offer Mass Friday For Nicholas Stabile

Nicholas A. Stabile of Glastonbury, Connecticut, formerly of Livingston, died at his home on November 27. He was 84 years old. Visitation will take place at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home in Livingston on Friday, December 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, at the St. Philomena Church in Livingston, followed by internment at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Mr. Stabile was born in Orange on March 1, 1931, the youngest son of Anthony and Felicia Stabile. He was graduated from Orange High School in 1949, where as a cross country athlete, he led his team to the state championship in 1948. Upon graduation, he entered the banking profession, until he was called to serve his country as a Marine in 1952. He achieved the rank of Sergeant in the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1954. In 1988, he retired as vice president from the Trust Company of New Jersey. Mr. Stabile is survived by his wife of more than 61 years, Marie (DeNicolo); his son, Nicholas Jr.; his daughter, Carol and her husband, Richard Rego; and two grandchildren. ...
