The Livingston Fire Department responded to a large number of calls this past week, including a car fire, a flooded house, a homeowner overcome by chemical fumes, and a resident locked out of the house with an infant inside. Firefighters went to mile marker 5.8 on Route 280 in response to a report of a vehicle fire on Monday, January 11. Upon their arrival, they found the vehicle's engine compartment fully involved. The fire was extinguished without incident, and the car towed from the scene.
