Anita Smith Dies at Age 99

Anita Smith, a Livingston resident and volunteer for almost 50 years, died on Sunday, November 20, in West Caldwell at Crane’s Mill retirement community. Born in the Bronx, she was married to Dr. Gadiel Smith, who died at the age of 100 in 2013. A volunteer for many causes and active in Temple Emanu-El of West Essex, her funeral is scheduled for today, Wednesday, November 23, at 10:45 a.m. at Cedar Park Cemetery/Beth El Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughters, Tina and Debbie; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. ...
