Jerome Marsh lived an incredible life and died in peace at home at the age of 94 on December 12, 2016. Born in Newark, New Jersey to parents Sam and Rose Marsh, he lived in South Orange and Livingston, New Jersey, and then Boca Raton, Florida. He is survived by his loving wife, Norma Pear Marsh, with whom he shared 71 years of marriage. He leaves behind his devoted daughters, Amy Marsh Katz and Cindy Marsh Dolgin, and son-in-law Neil Dolgin. Jerry’s eldest daughter, Julie Marsh Koen died in 2001. He was loved and adored by eight grandchildren (Jennifer, Jonathan, Michael, Daryl, Carly, Grant, Chad, Brett, and their spouses) and 12 greatgrand children whom he adored and “face-timed” with daily. Jerry attended Weequahic High School in Newark, New Jersey and was graduated from the University of Iowa. He was a proud veteran who served his country in Panama during World War II. After the war, he joined the family jewelry business, S. Marsh & Sons, based in Newark and Millburn. Jerry was a committed philanthropist who was actively involved in supporting the Daughters of Israel, the United Jewish Appeal, the Anti-Defamation League, and various mental health causes. Jerry was a truly loved patriarch and person who will be missed by all who knew him. He lit up a room with his smile, jokes and made everyone in his path feel special. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16th at 11 a.m. at Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel in Livingston, New Jersey.
