Alice Marie Ehrich

Alice Marie Ehrich (nee Mowbray) passed away on Wednesday, January 11 at the age of 90 in her home in Florham Park. Visitation was held on Friday, January 13 at Quinn-Hopping & Lamonica Funeral Home in Livingston. A funeral mass was held on Saturday, January 14 at St. Joseph’s in West Orange. Born in Newark, Alice was raised in East Orange and was a long-time resident of West Orange before moving to Livingston and then to Florham Park. She was a past president of St. Joseph’s Rosary Altar Society, past president of the Seton Hall Mothers’ Auxiliary, a charter member of the Augustinian Recollect Ministry, and a member of St. Joseph’s Old Timers’ Club. She was an avid bowler and a member of a league for many years. Alice was a devoted wife and mother and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Robert, and five sons: R. Allan and his wife Win (Newton) of Whippany; David and his wife Karen (Rose) of Pennsylvania; Douglas and his wife Joan (Glass) of Texas; Christopher and his wife Denise (Cassel) of Cedar Grove; and Stephen and his wife KellyAnn (McCann) of Livingston. Mrs. Ehrich has 10 grandchildren: Michael and his wife Laura (Baer), Keith and his wife Tracy (Egbert), Christopher, Valerie, Grace, Stephen, Jack, Griffin and Brady Ehrich; and Jessica Chiola and her husband Albie. She was predeceased by a grandson, Liam. She has six greatgrandchildren: Hailey, Madison, Ava and Ethan Ehrich, and Casey and Tyler Chiola. An additional greatgrandchild is due in April. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Robert, and two sisters, Winifred and Catherine, and is survived by sisters Agnes and Frances. Donations in her name may be made to Seton Hall Preparatory School or the Visiting Nurse Association. ...
