Holds Open Forum On Master Plan

The Livingston Planning Board will hold an open forum on the township’s Master Plan on Tuesday, March 21. The meeting will be held at Town Hall from 8 to 9:30 p.m. The Master Plan is a long term plan designed to guide the development of a community by forming the basis upon which the township’s land use ordinances and zoning regulations are built. Under state law, every community in New Jersey must have a Master Plan. Livingston has had several Plans over the years, with the first being adopted in 1946, and the latest version adopted in December of 2007. According to township officials, state law requires that the Planning Board complete a review, and any necessary update of that plan, this year.
