Livingston will join thousands of other communities across the nation in celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1. For the ninth consecutive year, Saint Barnabas Medical Center has made a donation in support of the local event.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships to make local neighborhood safer, better places to live. The program, notes Officer Joy Klapal of the Livingston Police Department’s Community Policing Unit, “is designed to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement, while bringing back a true sense of community and providing a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.”
