Joseph Musumeci of Livingston died Monday, August 7, at the age of 92. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston today, Thursday, August 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be offered at St. Philomena Roman Catholic Church, Livingston, on Friday, August 11, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Mr. Musumeci was born in Newark. He served in the U.S. Navy in both World War II and the Korean War. He was predeceased by his wife, Josephine, and two of his children, Rosanne Fanning and Paul Musumeci. Surviving Mr. Musumeci are his children, Joseph Musumeci; Luann Melillo and her husband, Stephen; and Robert Musumeci and his wife, Fabiola; his sister, Rosemarie Balfour; and nine grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in Mr. Musumeci’s name be made Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
