A Salute to Diversity

This week, Livingston proved, once again, what a diverse and welcoming community it is. The Township Council arranged for the raising of the Indian flag on Monday in celebration of that nation’s 70th anniversary of independence. More than 300 people attended the ceremony, over which presided Council members, Essex County freeholder Pat Sebold of Livingston, and representatives of Sanskriti, an organization which promotes Indian culture.
