Ellen Howard (nee Blakeslee), 69, of Toms River, formerly of Livingston, passed away August 19, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Ellen worked for Newsweek magazine for 35 years. She was predeceased by her sister, Susan Cobb, and her parents, Edna and Maurice “Jack” Blakeslee. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert; her daughters, Tracy Haberman, her husband, Brian, and Kim McLane and her husband, Brian. Ellen also leaves behind two grandsons, and a soon to be born granddaughter; her brother, William; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
