Robert A. Larsen of Bloomfield, formerly of Livingston, died Friday, August 18, at the age of 82. Funeral services were held at the Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange on Wednesday, August 23. Interment took place at Rosedale Cemetery, Montclair. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com. Born in Montclair, Mr. Larsen was raised in Newark. He lived in East Orange and Livingston before moving to Bloomfield several years ago. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a fireman with the East Orange Fire Department, where he was a member of the Firemen’s Relief Association, the Firemen’s Benevolent Association Local No. 23, and the BPOE Elks’ Livingston Lodge 1855. Mr. Larsen was the father of Ellen Rice and her husband, Richard; Robin Larsen and her companion, William Greulich; Leslie Larsen and her companion, Ron Groseibl; Kristina Larsen; and the late Thomas Larsen. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Larsen; and six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in his name be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
