Grace Lutheran Church Holds Rally Day Service

Grace Lutheran Church in Livingston will hold a special “Rally Day” worship service on Sunday morning, September 10, at 9:30 a.m. The worship service will kick off the new school year, and the theme for the service is “Becoming Like Children,” based on the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 18, verses one through four. “In our daily lives, it is easy to compete with others to be the ‘greatest,’” says the Rev. Dr. L. Richard Vossler, pastor. “However, when we wage that competition solely to trample on the people around us, we ignore God and what He has done for us. Jesus calls us both to have a childlike faith that humbly depends on God and His love for us, as well as to share that love with our children.” During the worship service, the congregation will install the teachers and staff of both the church’s Sunday School and the Little Angles Christian Montessori School Following the service, a reception will be held, during which time those attending may meet families from the church and the schools. The public is invited to attend; for more information, call the church office at 973-992-0145. ...
