Boys’ Cross Country Team is “Up and Running”

The Livingston High School boys’ cross country team began its 2017 season with a great start, said coach James Memory, picking up wins against Barringer (15-50), Irvington (19-44) and Verona (15-50). The team ran in what was the first of five races that will be held at Branch Brook Park in Newark this season. The Lancers were led by sophomore Philmon Mehari, who averaged 5:39 per mile on his way to a 17:33 finish. Mehari defeated all Liberty Conference opponents and finished eighth overall in the race.
