Ebba Kristoffersen, 89

A memorial service for Ebba Kristoffersen, 89, will be held at The Cliffs, 707 Eagle Rock Avenue, West Orange, NJ, at 3:30 p.m. on October 15, 2017. Light refreshments will follow. Ebba was born on August 2, 1928, in Rodding, Denmark, the fifth of seven daughters to Vagn and Rigmor Knudsen. She passed peacefully at The Cliffs on Saturday, September 30, 2017, with family by her side. She married Anders V.B. Kristoffersen on August 4, 1956. Anders preceded her in death on March 21, 2014. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Dan (Bonnie) Kristoffersen, Washington Township, NJ; Tove (Allan) Nilsen, Staten Island, NY; and Britta (Ken) Holvik, Port Jefferson, NY; eight grandchildren, Mikael (Heather) Kristoffersen, Britta (Jordan) Cundiff, Anna Kristoffersen, Kirsten Nilsen, Katrina Holvik, Karin Holvik, Karianne (Seth) Hunter, and Erik Holvik; and four greatgrandchildren, Anders, Nikolai, and Arabella Cundiff and Dan Kristoffersen. She is also survived by two sisters, Anna Cramer and Karen Rossen; and many nieces and nephews and their families, both in the United States and Denmark. Ebba served as a Sunday school teacher, a member of the Ladies’ Aid Society, and bookkeeper and secretary for Kristoffersen Hardwood Flooring, of which Anders was owner and founder. She loved to welcome family, friends, and acquaintances into her home. Her life was a beautiful example of quiet and selfless love and care for her family and friends. Ebba was a woman of strong faith, who started each day reading the Bible and reflecting in prayer. Her perpetual joyful, giving, and fun spirit will live on in the many lives she had touched.
