May 7, 1928 to August 9, 2017 Stanley Alan Weinroth, Shmeul ben Tzvi, age 89, of Maitland, Florida, passed away August 9, 2017, as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident. He was born May 7, 1928, in the Bronx, New York, the second of two sons to the late William and Miriam Bromberger Weinroth. Stanley is survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Lucilla Krutman Weinroth; their two children, Stuart (Pamela) of Greenwood Village, Colorado, and Anna (Craig) Ward of Franklin, Tennessee; his precious grandchildren Delaina and Zachary Weinroth of Colorado; his brother, Alvin (Rita) Weinroth of San Diego, California; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pearl and King Halikman of Maitland, Florida; many nephews, grandnephews, grandnieces, a great-grandnephew; and cousins throughout the United States and other countries, including Brazil. Stanley was graduated from the Bronx High School of Science, received his undergraduate degree from City College of New York, and earned his master’s degree in electrical engineering from The University of Tulsa. He served in the U.S. Army at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland from 1954 to 1956, and was a long-time member of several professional engineering societies. In the 1960s, Stanley moved to Florida and worked on many projects for NASA, including the Gemini-Agena program. While living in Cocoa Beach, Florida, Stanley was introduced to the former Lucilla Krutman of Recife, Brazil. They married in 1964. In 1970 Stanley moved his young family to Livingston, New Jersey, where he continued his profession as an electrical engineer. Stanley worked in the New York City area on significant projects, including renovation of the New Amsterdam Theatre on Broadway; the U.S. Customs House in New York; and the Jersey City Harborside Financial Center on the Hudson River. However, the most important part of his day was evening conversation with family at the dinner table. Stanley was devoted to the ethic of sharing his time and abilities in the communities where he lived, and did so during his almost 30 years in Livingston, New Jersey. He was twice elected Town Councilman of Livingston, serving from 1990 to 1998. His fellow councilmen chose Stanley to serve as Livingston’s mayor for the 1997 year.
