A van crashed into the group home for people with special needs located at 363 West Northfield Road on Thursday, November 30. The accident occurred at around 5 p.m.
The driver, 59 year old Diana Simmons-Peters of East Orange, lost control of the van, which was transporting three adult residents of the home. According to police officials, Simmons-Peters said that the vehicle’s brakes failed, causing her to collide with the garage. The van went through the garage door, and out the side of the structure.
