Services Held Dec. 22 For Eve Epstein, 90

Eve Epstein, 90, died December 19 at the Inglemoor Rehabilitation and Care Center in Livingston, where she had resided for the past 2½ years. A funeral was held Friday, December 22, at the Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, with arrangements by the Menorah Chapels at Millburn. Born Eva Blanche Enfield on October 15, 1927, in Newark, Mrs. Epstein was graduated from Weequahic High School and received her R.N. degree from Beth Israel School of Nursing. On Christmas Day in 1949, she married Irving Epstein, to whom she was married for 50 years until his death in 2000. She lived in Union, Springfield, Livingston, and Florida before moving back to Livingston. She worked as a registered nurse, at Beth Israel in Newark, Elizabeth General, and finally Saint Barnabas Medical Center, where she spent the last 20 years of her career, mostly in the nursery. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Epstein was predeceased by her daughter, Anita, and her brother, Morton. She is survived by her son, David (Fern); her brother, Fred (Tess); and three grandchildren and one-greatgrandchild. The family has suggested that donations in Mrs. Epstein’s name be sent to the NJSGA Caddie Scholarship Foundation. ...
