Gerald Moskowitz, 86, of Livingston, died at Saint Barnabas Medical Center on January 15.The funeral was held at the Bernheim, Apter, Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel on January 17. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Moskowitz was graduated from Erasmus Hall High School, City College of New York, and Newark College of Engineering. After working as a chemist for the majority of his career, Mr. Moskowitz became a substitute teacher in the Livingston school system, where he worked for 22 years. He is survived by Paula, his wife of 61 years; his three sons, Bruce, Gary, and Alan; their wives, Christine, Erika, and Michelle; and his five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Heart Association or to Temple Beth Shalom in Livingston.
