Patrick J. O’Neill

Former Livingston resident Patrick Joseph O’Neill, 92, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, January 6, 2018. Patrick was born September 20, 1925 in Orange, NJ. He attended Orange High School before enlisting with the Navy Scouts and Raiders during World War II. After his service in the Navy, Patrick was employed with CNA Insurance for 37 years. Upon retiring in 1993, he devoted a lot of his time volunteering at local hospitals, most recently at Beaches Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. He loved traveling with his wife Kate, and taking walks on the beach with their dog Masie, who was waiting for him at the Pearly Gates. Patrick lived life to the fullest; he loved his wife’s cooking, playing golf, and his many friends and family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Central and North Florida Chapter, Orlando Office. Patrick is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kate; two brothers, William of Livingston, NJ, and Edward and his wife, Nancy, of Kansas City, MO; two sons, Kevin of Belleville, NJ, and Keith and his wife, Debra, of Germantown, MD; his daughterin- law, Kathy, of Livingston, NJ; his stepson, Adam Frank, and his wife, Alisha, of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Kenneth; his brother, Robert; and his parents, Joseph and Anne. ...
