Council Announces Revaluation Delay; Discusses So. Orange Ave. Traffic Light

A delay in the proposed townwide revaluation and a proposal for a new traffic signal on South Orange Avenue were topics of the Township Council's Monday evening conference meeting. Revaluation is a program undertaken by a municipality to appraise all real property within the taxing district according to its full and fair value. Revaluation programs seek to spread the tax burden equitably within the municipality.
