Edwin L. Kalmore

Edwin Louis Kalmore, formerly of Livingston, NJ, died January 28, 2018 in Monroe Township, NJ. Funeral services were held on January 29, 2018 at Menorah Chapels at Millburn in Union, NJ. Interment followed at Mount Ararat Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Kalmore resided in Livingston, NJ for 32 years before moving to Monroe Township, NJ in 1998. Mr. Kalmore received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the New York University School of Commerce in 1949. He became a certified public accountant licensed to practice in the State of New York. He was a member of both the New York State Society of Certifi ed Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Prior to his retirement, he was a partner with the accounting firm of Wolf and Schulman, formerly of New York City. A veteran who served in the United States Army during World War II, Mr. Kalmore was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant following service in Japan. Mr. Kalmore was a long-time member of Temple Beth Shalom in Livingston and served on its Board of Trustees. He was also a member of the Masons of the State of New York, Amos-Fort Greene Lodge. Predeceased by his parents, Esther Radzek Kalmore and Alexander Nathan Kalmore, and his sister, Helen Kalmore Reiner, Edwin Louis Kalmore is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sheila Kalmore, and his daughters, Debra (Alan) of Livingston, NJ and Tracy (Pat) of Woodcliff Lake, NJ, along with five grandchildren.
