Former Tribune Employee Isabel Wernsing Dies at 72

Isabel Ann Kievning Wernsing passed away the evening of January 24, 2018 in Greenville, South Carolina. She was born on June 12, 1945 to her parents Isabel and Frederick Kievning. She was raised and lived most of her life in Livingston, NJ. She graduated from Livingston High School and the Berkeley Secretarial School and had worked for Beneficial Finance Company in Morristown, NJ and the West Essex Tribune in Livingston, NJ. She had been an administrative assistant and a classified ad manager. Isabel was the beloved wife of Richard W. Wernsing of Livingston, NJ for fifty-three years and, devoted mother of Richard W. Wernsing, Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Frederick E. Wernsing of Simpsonville, SC and proud grandmother of Nathan and Brianna Wernsing of Simpsonville, SC. She also leaves two sisters, Judith Bonnafon of Burke, VA, and Linda Hickman of Denver, CO as well as her sister-in-law Joan Higgins of Tinton Falls, NJ. Isabel was a devoted wife and loving mom. She was always committed to making things the best that they could be for those she loved. She enjoyed her home, cooking for her family, and her gardens. Even though ill for a number of years, she was interested in those around her and in world events. A service will be held in Greenville, South Carolina at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Palmetto Mortuary, 1017 Mauldin Road, Maudlin, South Carolina 29607.
