Services Held For Dominic Falcone

Dominic R. Falcone, 92, died on January 23. Born and raised in Orange, he lived in Livingston for 56 years and then in SeabrookVillage, Tinton Falls. Mr. Falcone enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1943 and served as a radio and radar technician on B-17 and B-29 long range heavy bombers. He attended Seton Hall and Rutgers universities, and retired from Bell Telephone Laboratories on December 31, 1989. Mr. Falcone served as a grand knight of the Knights of Columbus 13533, Livingston and as president and treasurer of the Livingston Public Broadcast Committee, channel 34. He also volunteered for the Comboni Missionary Support Group in Montclair, St. Philomena Cub Scout Pack 56, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, and Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen; his children, Richard and Marie Falcone, Mary Anne and Michael Magliaro, Anthony and Kathleen Falcone, and Kathleen Marie and Thomas Newman; and his six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Falcone Mercurio. A Funeral Mass was held on January 26 at St. Philomena Church in Livingston.
