Hockey Team Advances to Conference Finals

Livingston High School’s varsity ice hockey team has advanced to the Conference finals for the fourth time in six years. A great team effort gave the Lancers a 1-0 shut-out win Monday night over Montclair, which is ranked #1 in public A schools. Junior forward Max Solomon scored the game-winning goal with five minutes left in the second period and senior goalie Matt Delseni secured the win with 22 saves. The game marked Delseni’s eighth shut-out of the year. The senior goaltender was named first team, allconference for the 2017-18 season, and, said coach Dave Conklin, “is considered one of the top goaltenders in New Jersey.” He has allowed just 28 goals on 545 shots.
