Funeral Service Held For Murry Greene, 90

Murry Greene of Livingston, formerly of Union, died Friday, February 16, at the age of 90. A funeral service was held at the Bernheim-Apter- Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel of Livingston on Sunday, February 18, followed by interment at Beth David Cemetery, Kenilworth. Mr. Greene was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 5, 1927. In his senior year of high school, he moved to New Jersey to work in the family milk business, Tuscan Dairy. After graduating from high school, he attended Rutgers University for one year before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He served as a pharmacist’s mate during World War II. After his discharge from the Navy, he returned to Rutgers and was graduated in June of 1951. Mr. Greene then worked for Wyeth Lab in Madison, retiring after 50 years of service. He was a past Grand Chancellor of the Knights of Pythias and former post Commander of the Jewish War Veterans. Predeceased by his wife of more than 50 years, Harriet, and by his son, Robert Ted Greene, Mr. Greene is survived by his daughter, Randi Sue Greene; and two grandchildren. ...
