Mass at St. Raphael For Mary C. Centuori

Mary C. Centuori (nee Crisafi) of Warren, formerly of Livingston, died at her home on Friday, February 16. She was 91 years old. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Raphael Church in Livingston on Wednesday, February 21, followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Arrangements were by the Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial; to send condolences, visit ippolitofuneralhomes.com. Mrs. Centuori was born in East Orange. She had resided in Livingston for over 50 years, before moving to Warren one year ago. A graduate of Kean University, she taught in both the West Orange and Newark school districts. After a career in teaching, she worked as a real estate agent for Carano Realtors in West Orange for many years before retirement. In addition, she was a long-time trustee of the Livingston Symphony Orchestra. Mrs. Centuori was predeceased by her husband, Dante A., in 1989; and by her brothers, Vincent and Joseph Crisafi. She is survived by her children, Danette Whelan and her husband, Chuck, of Warren, and Dante M. Centuori of Rocky River, Ohio; her siblings, Frank Crisafi of Edison, and Catherine Valeriani of Roseland; and four grandchildren.
