Leon Rynar

Leon Rynar, 94, passed away at his residence in Verona, New Jersey on Thursday, February 15, 2018. Funeral services were held at Menorah Chapel at Millburn on Sunday, February 18. Leon was born in Newark, New Jersey, and lived in Livingston for 45 years before moving to Verona in 2004. He served in the Pacific campaign as a captain in the U.S. Air Force. He was an account executive with Vector Engineering in Springfield, New Jersey, and for the past 19 years he worked for Fabulous Specialties in Livingston. Leon was a founding member of Temple Emanu-El in Livingston. He and his late wife, Roslyn, received their bachelor of arts degrees from Montclair State University in 2001. Leon was the beloved husband of the late Roslyn; devoted father of Dr. James and Susan Rynar, Craig Rynar and Dr. Jennifer Giordano, Betsy and Ron Ladell, Lynn Rynar and Monte Miller, Dr. Bonnie Rynar and Yukio Otsubo; the loving and proud grandfather of Jennifer (CJ), Elana (Matt), Zachary (Sarah), Jacob (Lauren), Samantha, Ryan, Ben, Jourdan, Daniel, Jackson, Chloe, and Jade; and the cherished great-grandfather of Violet. Those who wish to honor Leon’s memory may donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Barnabas Health Home Care and Hospice. ...
