Planning Board Approves New Cul de Sac Street

The Planning Board held a special meeting on Tuesday evening, March 20, to approve an application for a major subdivision with variances at 254 West Hobart Gap Road. The applicant, Kenny Praval, proposes to subdivide a 3.6 acre tract to create four new building lots. The property, located east of the Methodist Church on Walnut Street, is currently split between the R-1 and R-2 residential property designations. In order to subdivide the property, a cul de sac street will be created. The Board had previously given non-binding guidance to its attorney, Richard Vallario, to prepare findings of fact and conclusions in favor of the application, which was unanimously approved. The approval is contingent upon the terms that were delineated at a hearing on February 6. The Planning Board will hold three meetings in April. Three applications will be heard on April 3; a Master Plan review will be held on April 12; and the April 17 meeting will include a presentation on parking by the Business Improvement District representatives. ...
