Marshuetz Named Next Police Chief; Will Assume Position in September

At the end of the Monday, July 23, Township Council conference meeting, township manager Barry Lewis formally announced his intention to hire Gary Marshuetz as the Livingston Police Department’s next chief. Marshuetz was recently promoted from Captain to Acting Chief when Chief Craig Handschuch announced his intention to retire at the end of the summer. Handschuch has been using accumulated paid time off this summer leading up to his retirement at the end of August.
