The Livingston Zoning Board of Adjustment, at a special meeting on Tuesday evening, July 31, continued hearing an application by New Jersey Energy Corporation to redevelop the property at 226 West Northfield Road into a gas station and a Chestnut Mart convenience store. The lot, located at the intersection of West Northfield Road and Hillside Avenue, was once home to a gas station, now closed; however, the property is located within the R-3 residential zone, where such a use is not permitted. The hearing was continued from a January meeting.
