Livingston’s National Night Out will take place on August 7. The national event, explains Offi cer Kevin Mullaney of the Livingston Police Department’s Community Policing Unit, is designed to strengthen neighborhoods through police-community partnerships. “The goal is to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, and build support and participation in local anti-crime programs,” he said. “Most importantly, it represents the kind of spirit, energy and determination that is helping to make many neighborhoods safer places to live.”
